Birthday Celebration

My birthday is Christmas Day!  As a child living at home with my parents and brother and sister we woikd celebrate Christmas in the morning. Then arounf 1 or 2 pm Christmas would stop and my birthday celebration would start.  Now that I have kids I realize how difficult that probably was on my mom and dad and siblings.   Now my husband always tries to give me my own day and we usually celebrate a day or early.  This year we celebrated a week in advance with friends.  It was a great day.  Friends, pizza, cake & presents....it doesn't get any better.

Me and my friend Tonja

Hubby knows I want to get back to eating healthier. So he got me my ninja Blender!

So excited to make some cards with my new stamps, a sweater with my new yarn and love my kitchen stuff.

Yes...he got me a scale and I love it.  It is all fancy smancy. It has Bluetooth and can link to my app on my phone. Isn't that CRAZY?  I am one lucky girl.

For You

Wow, again I can't believe I have not been blogging.  Life has just been busy and I have not been paper crafting lately!  We have been in our new house now for about 14 months and are loving it!  We have 20 acres.  Loving it!

My hubby and I just finished setting up and reorganizing my craft room. I now have space to work with my new desk/hutch.
I am also getting my stamp sets organized so the they are easily accessible.  I was finding it frustrating not knowing what I had and not being able to find them.  FOr the most part they are all now in either DVD cases or CD cases on my new stamps shelf that hubby bought me for Christmas.
After all that I am finally getting do do some paper crafting.  I am not longer frustrated looking for stuff and wondering where it is and not having enough space. YEAH!  I will say that most of it was done while I was on vacation. My hubster got the shelf up and my desk bought and put together!  He ROCKS!

Okay now on to my paper crafting for today.
I played along with the MojoMonday431

And here is my take on her lovely sketch!

I used a couple different stamps sets along with pattern paper and cardstock.
I used 2 different stamp sets by VERVE. I used Abundant Blessings and Bloom&Grow.  I also used Stampin Up Great Friends Stamp set.  The patter paper is from Close To My Heart, Stella.  The base is on Crumb Cake cardstock also by Stampin Up

As you can see I like a lot of different companies products.  I don't ever use just one!  But that is okay!  I love paper crafting supplies and well, buy what I like!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all!   I hope you all enjoyed your day and enjoyed time with your family!

I didn't realize it had been so long since I have blogged.  WE have been in our new house for just over a  year.  Last year we moved here to our land the weekend before Thanksgiving.  It has been a crazy year.  We have had to buy a vehicle so I could get up our steep driveway. We got moved into our house, we had to buy a tractor & 4wheeler to maintain the driveway.  Now my handsome hubby is working on a shed to store them in for the winter.  Hopefully the bad weather holds off enough so that we can (he) can get it up!  We have been so blessed and are thankful we are together and able to get out here to our land and enjoy the country.

Progress...

I am sure that I have mentioned in past posts about our land.  That we are wanting to move to our 20 acres that we bought a couple years ago.  We are in the process of getting the house out there.  It is such a slow process!  Urg!  signed papers end of July.  Well they got the well in and now have the concrete footers in...Yeah.
I am super excited to be out here!  They claim the house is being moved up at the beginning of this coming week. But, oh, wait they told us that last week.  And before that a few times!  We shall see!  But at least the footers are in!

This will be the view from our front porch or living room or the front of the house.
Just looking over the little pond. It is fun watching the deer walk around there and all the other littel critters.  Not thrilled about the bears but we shall see what happens!

Because we are moving out here we have already enrolled the kids in the Giles County schools.  They are loving it. I am not liking to have to drive the kids back and forth every day...the 130 miles per day is getting old real fast!  But soon like I said we will be out and all will be well.

I haven't done much paper crafting.  With soon moving, I don't want to get stuff out and all over.  I have to start getting stuff packed  up and my paper crafting stuff is something I can pack ahead of time.
I have however done some knitting. I finished a pair of socks back in September that I haven't shared yet.  My friend has asked me to make her, her husband and her son some knitted socks.  So that is what I am working on.  Her are hers....
I really like how they turned out!  Think they are going to fit her perfectly. Now...I am not sure about the socks for her husband...but we shall see!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Sweet 16

Happy Sweet 16 to my first born.
This girls when I was taking them to school!  Had to have a picture of Carli on her way to school on her birthday.  She is always so thrilled!
Happy birthday to my sweet not-so-baby girl!
Me and my girl!  WE had a fun celebration.  Dinner at Red Robin where at the end they sang happy birthday to Carli.  She was a bit mortified!  But...I think secretly she liked it.  Well maybe!

Saxon

Wow, what a crazy couple of days.  Yesterday I took the kids to see their new schools.  They start school in Giles County this coming Tuesday.  I really like their teachers, special ed teachers, IEP coordinators and all.  Everyone was super nice.  The girls seemed to like everyone and I am super excited that they are going to have a good year!
I worked on some cards the last couple of days.  I decided to make a few cards using the Triple Stamping Technique.
I really like this look and really like how they turned out.  I used two different Stamp sets, one from Stampin Up and the other from Verve.

Last night, Shawn found a dog he wanted that someone was giving away for free.   Today I contacted the person to see if the one of the dogs was still available and he was.  So....we now have a new Dog.  Saxon is now the newest member of the Tucker/Kottwitz family.

He is a chewer so that is the first habit we need to try to break!  But the good thing is HE and Sadie get a long great.
Hopefully tonight will be a good first night home with him.  He will be sleeping in his crate for awhile until we know he isn't chewing anymore and until we know he is completely potty trained!

Yesterday the kids and I had a fun filled day in Roanoke.  We went to Trapper and Kaylee's birthday party that was at he Mill Mountain Zoo.  I didn't even know that there was a zoo in Roanoke.  We drove over and spent a few hours walking around the zoo and of course pizza, cake and presents!

On our way to the party....Madison, Kaylee and Alley

Carli always loves having her picture taken....NOT!  But hey...I got one anyway.

Easter 2014

We had a wonderful Easter.

The girls and I spent the morning at Harbor of Hope Church. They are part of a Youth Group there and each took part in the drama.  Below is Carli's part.  She was one set of the white hands. I had never seen anything like this before.  It was pretty amazing!

Harbor of Hope PHC Drama Team 04/20/2014

The girls before going to the church.

Madison after changing from her drama clothes to her dress.

Us girls before heading to church.

The group of youth that Harbor Of Hope.  A great group of kids!

After church we headed out to the land and enjoyed a  cookout as well as the nice weather and the peacefulness of being out their.  We own 20 acres so when we are out there, we don't hear traffic or neighbors or really anything.  Only nature.

Me with my sweetie...and of course or princess, Sadie, who always has to be sitting on one of our laps!  As you can see she loves Shawn!

And the girls and their dad!  As you can see the oldest is just thrilled with getting her picture taken! HEHEH!  Oh, well!

Anyway...it was a fun and relaxing day!
