I am so sorry! I cannot believe it has been almost a month since I have blogged! I know that is terrible.
Here in Virginia we have had some terrible cold weather. But I guess because of those Polar Vortex's or whatever they are called....everyone in the country has cold weather. I don't think the girls have had a full week of school since they went back after Christmas. Of course I am not complaining. I am absolutely fine with not being out on those roads taking the kids to school or just being out in that cold. The girls school was cancelled again today so they are here with me all day! Shawn is working a lot of over-time for work. He has to work to get certain projects done! So again...just me and the girls hanging out!
I haven't been doing a lot of scrapbooking or cardmaking. However I can tell you that I decided to start the Project Life. I found that I am just not keeping up on scrapbooking and am hoping that will help me keep up with "scrapbooking" this year. We shall see. I have the first three weeks of the year that I am working on. I bought a few of the Project life kits and am storing them like this!
It is in a plastic case I found at Lowes. Then it has a lid. It is perfect because I can put the lid on it and take it with me to a scapbooking day, or just move it around my scrap area with no problem. I have each set of Project Life kits separated with cardstock dividers and the name of the kit on the divider. It works perfect for me. Unfortunately I just don't have the space to store each set in the original box it comes in.
I have been doing a lot more knitting than anything. I can do it while sitting in the living room with Shawn and the kids. I can take it with me to the doctors or in the car to wait in the car line at the school! It is very easy to take along so I get a lot more done. I also meet with a knitting group every Wednesday night for knitting night at a local coffee shop! So much fun! Here are a few objects I have finished in the last month.
These are socks for Madison! I think they turned out great. They fit her perfect!
This black hat is for my hubby. It fit perfect. It was my first hat! I think it turned out awesome. My knitting friends all laugh because they say knitting hats are so much easier than socks. But I learned socks first.
Madison's pink hat! She loves it. I hat to take out the decreases and add a bit more in length
This hat is Carli's Steeler's hat! She loves Steelers. Not real sure she will wear it as she is 15 and well that pretty much explains it. But I wanted her to have something that I made her!
I am making a few more hats over the next few weeks along with a few more pairs of socks. And of course hopefully I will be working on my Project Life a bit!
Hope you all are staying warm!
