Valentine's Day 2009
Good morning! Another Beautiful day here in Virginia. Though I will say I am hoping that if it is going to rain it rains today. The rest of the we have some plans that involve being outside. So we shall see. You never know what it is going to do when it says there is a 40% chance of rain. Oh well, whatcha gonna do.
I do have a layout to share today. I have been working on some older photos and events that haven't been "scrapbooked". This is one...Valentine's Day 2009. Yep...I know...that is just sad. But I scrapbook as the mood strikes me. I don't necessarily scrapbook in chronological order but do put my layouts in my albums chronologically. Right now I am also working on a few layouts with events from this year. So like I said it just depends on what my mood is.
So this is a layout of of Valentine's 2009. In this year Valentine's Day fell on Saturday. Sadly that was my Saturday to work in the office so I worked all day. But I came home to dinner, flowers and a few gifts. My hubby had made me shrimp scampi and salad for dinner. The girls got me a few gifts...and hubby got me some flowers. It was a fabulous end to my Valentine's Day!
The entire layout was made from my "scrap" stash. I know the papers are from CTMH, but not sure of the name.

Work in Progress
Another one of my hobbies is knitting. I haven't done much in the way of knitting any kind of clothing or anything until now. Last Friday I decided to start the Elysium. It is a sideways knit cardigan stitched all in garter stitch. So...it is suppose to be somewhat easy! Somewhat I say! I did have to learn how to wrap and turn to do short rows.
(the beginning June 14)
(where I was at on June 16).
This is where I am at now. I have the entire left front done, the left sleeve and I started on the back rows. Then...I look at my work and what do I find....
Yep...a dropped stitch! URG! So frustrating. So I haven't worked on it since Thursday. why because I have no idea how to fix it. I am about ready just to tear it all out and start again. But I really don't want to do that. I am hoping someone at my knitting group can help me. Every Wednesday I join some ladies at a local coffee shop for a bit of knitting. Like I said HOPEFULLY they can help. I watched videos on YouTube but they just didn't help me. And I since I have only ever made scarves and dish clothes I really have not had enough practice to undo my work and go back and fix my mistake. So fingers crossed come Wednesday night it I will find out if it is fixable and hopefully will be working on it again. I just really don't want to work on it anymore until I know. No point in knitting and knitting just to tear it out. But hopefully soon I will be wearing my first cardigan. Yeah!

Anniversary
Hello all. Hope you are enjoying your summer. We have had a great first few weeks to our summer. Our first week we headed to Pennsylvania to visit family! It was fun visiting with my mom and dad, sister and brother and friends. I will share some of those pictures later.
Today I have a layout to share that I worked on at the weekend retreat I went to in May. I didn't realize I didn't share any so thought I better get to it.

Our 5 year anniversary was in April. We wen to dinner at the Outback Steak House. Then had a relaxing evening with the girls. Also shared picture of my new laptop I got for our anniversary and one of the gifts that Shawn got that was those tire cover things in the picture. not sure what they are but...took a picture of them anyway.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a good one!
