Card making

Just a little card making today inbetween calls and emails for work.  I am just trying to get some cards made because my stash has dwindled down to almost nothing and I need to get it built back up.

All the cardstock/paper for each card was from Stampin up.  The Stamps sets were both from Close to My Heart.

Snow, snow and more snow & Paper Crafting

We got some snow last night.  But I don't think it is anywhere near what we are suppose to get.  The hubster was out for several hours plowing the driveway and shoveling so that we could get down the driveway.  Of course it would help if the Gravel road we live on gets plowed.  That could be a few days before the state or the farmer up the road who the state has contracted with to plow gets to it.  For now the kids have no school. the hubster has no work  and we are all staying in the house.

We shall see what tonight and tomorrow night bring, because it is now snowing again.

But with that being said at least I got to get some paper crafting done again today. I organized my cards to see what need to make more of and I made a card for Viva La Verve sketch.

I made this with Craft and Cream cardstock.  The stamp sets are from Stampin Up.  I used Summer Sillhouettes and label Love.  This card is going in the mail  with a gift I knit.  Hopefully, I will get to the post office at the beginning of the week.  We shall see what the snow allows.

For You

Wow, again I can't believe I have not been blogging.  Life has just been busy and I have not been paper crafting lately!  We have been in our new house now for about 14 months and are loving it!  We have 20 acres.  Loving it!

My hubby and I just finished setting up and reorganizing my craft room. I now have space to work with my new desk/hutch.
I am also getting my stamp sets organized so the they are easily accessible.  I was finding it frustrating not knowing what I had and not being able to find them.  FOr the most part they are all now in either DVD cases or CD cases on my new stamps shelf that hubby bought me for Christmas.
After all that I am finally getting do do some paper crafting.  I am not longer frustrated looking for stuff and wondering where it is and not having enough space. YEAH!  I will say that most of it was done while I was on vacation. My hubster got the shelf up and my desk bought and put together!  He ROCKS!

Okay now on to my paper crafting for today.
I played along with the MojoMonday431

And here is my take on her lovely sketch!

I used a couple different stamps sets along with pattern paper and cardstock.
I used 2 different stamp sets by VERVE. I used Abundant Blessings and Bloom&Grow.  I also used Stampin Up Great Friends Stamp set.  The patter paper is from Close To My Heart, Stella.  The base is on Crumb Cake cardstock also by Stampin Up

As you can see I like a lot of different companies products.  I don't ever use just one!  But that is okay!  I love paper crafting supplies and well, buy what I like!

I used Lacy & Lovely Stamp set #127784.

I used Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and Floridal District paper pack.  The Stamp image is from Verve.  I love the Rich Razzleberry color and am trying to find more ways to use it.  Such a pretty vibrant color.  Super cute color.

Wishing You The Best

Hello peeps. Hope you are all having a great week. Mine is both good and bad.  Good because my kids, my hubby and family are doing well.  Good because finally after 10 years of annoyance, lack of mortgage payments and a slue of other things and after going to court, I got the judgement I wanted against my ex.  FINALLY...I would say a decade is long enough!   Now I can move forward...sell the old house.  Yippie!  I am so excited!  Well I shouldn't talk to soon, he has 30 days to vacate...so once that step is done...then it is smooth sailing!

Why was this week bad?  Well I guess it was a bad day...not a bad week.  I will let this person sour one day but no more.  Nothing annoys me more than someone accusing me of something I didn't do, then in a round-about-way call me a liar.  for the most part I work with awesome people and the people I work with and have worked with for 11 years know I do my job with integrity and work hard at helping people.  I need to not waste emotion on those that think they know everything and even though they have no authority think they are "the boss".  URG...!!!!  I am very thankful though that my managers, most of my co-workers and owners that I work with know that I do my job well and am very honest, and am very proud of the work I do.   That one that may have a different opinion well...(fill in the blank).   And I have to say that I am glad I am the type of person that saves all my work emails and I had emails to PROVE I was not lying...even though I didn't need them in the eyes of my boss and manager.

Okay..now that I have finally finished venting I have a card to share today!  This week is my last week for being a Design Team member for Cardabilities.  I have loved being a Design Team Member, but now I have other commitments  and and things I want to focus on!  Anyway, this is week is sketch #70.  It is a super duper cute sketch!

I made mine using Crumb Cake  and Olive Cardstock. I used some left over CTMH pattern paper I still had for the top and the "ribbons".

This week I have also taken the plunge and started my version of Project Life.  I have not actually purchased a specific project life kit.  I may in the future but since I am still playing and deciding what I want to do I am just kind of making it up as I go.  I will go back and do all of January and February,  but I did start with this week for my first layout...so it is a work in progress. Maybe when I finish I will take a photo and share.  We will see. I have been having fun searching blogs for others who do project life.  I have seen some great inspiration!

Well I am off to Weight Watchers.  I did really well the first few months last year when I started in March 2012.  Lost 17.6 lbs.  Just .4 lbs from my goal.  Then I went on vacation and then well I stopped tracking and caring. So I gained 8 lbs. back.  I started back a few weeks ago and am now going down again.  I love WW and it really works if you follow through with tracking!  That is all I can say TRACK your food.  Track what you eat and be accountable.  When you do...you lose.  This week I did have a few treats. I was still within my points but I didn't get as much exercise this week as I have been getting so...we shall see.

So...until next time...have a good one!

Another Birthday

Hi! Hope everyone is having a great week. We are on our 3rd cancellation day in just a couple weeks.  No school for the kids again today.  Thankfully not snow again, but a lot of rain and flooding.  The kids have rather enjoyed it.  I am sure they will not be thrilled when they have to make the day up at the end of the year.  Oh well.

Okay, now on to my card.  I am running low on some birthday cards so I decided to start getting caught up that is why most of my cards have been Happy Birthday lately.

Today's card is for this weeks sketch at Cardabilities.  This weeks sketch is #68 and so cute.   My card base is my favorite go to Crumb cake.  I also used soft suede.  The pattern paper is from the Print Poetry design series stack.  I used my SU labels collection framelits to cut out the the center image and the butterfly punch for the butterflies. The sentiment is from the set Petite Pairs.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to go over and join this weeks sketch at Cardabilities which you can find here,

Happy Birthday!

Good morning all!  Hope you are all having a great day!

I am back today with another sketch from Cardabilities.  This week is sketch # 67.   I had fun playing with this sketch. I used the 2011-2013 in colors Indigo and Limeaid as well as Crumb Cake and white Card Stock.   The stamp set I used is Moving Forward I so love this stamp set but this is the first time I inked it up!  I also love that fact that every time someone purchases this stamp set a donation is made to Make-a-Wish foundation.  That is just awesome. Anyway...I embossed the white cardstock with Chevron Embossing Folder.  The ribbon I found in my stash of ribbon.  Not really sure where I got it.   The image I decided to change from a Circle to this label shape.  I used the Framelits Window Frames Collection ...and the matching overlay that I can use to punch the holes.  Love that little tool.

Well thanks for stopping by and make sure you head over to Cardabilities to play along with the sketch!

Best Birthday Wishes

Hi fellow crafters.  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  We had a nice quiet one at home. It was great!  With all the traveling we did at Thanksgiving then the next week me traveling to Florida it is nice just to relax and be at home.

Anyway...I did get a few cards done this week.  I am glad that I am done with Christmas cards...even though I was bad and didn't actually mail out Christmas cards this year.  Anyway, now I can get caught up on my Birthday and Thank you Cards.  So here is one that I made using Regal Collections DSPRegal  Collection Cardstock, and Crumb Cake Cardstock.  The stamped image is from Serene Silhouettes Stamp set.   For the cutout image I used Label Collection Framelits

Hopefully I will have a few more cards to share this week so please stop back!

Christmas Card~Cardabilities#65

Good morning!  Hope you are having a good day!  This morning I am posting my very first card for Cardabilities new Design Team.  It was suppose to be posted yesterday but for some reason my automatic post didn't post.  I am sure it was NOT operator error (wink..wink).

I am very excited to be on this new Design Team.  Cardabilities posts a new sketch on the 15th and 30th of every month.  Hope you will join along.  Their sketches are so cute and makes a great blue print for making cards.

I started with my card base which is Crumb Cake.  The back piece to the cut out is in Olive card stock.  For the ornaments I used the Holiday Ornaments Framelits.  I all the new Framelits that Stampin' Up has now.  They make cutting so easy!

Make sure to head over to all the other design team members blogs and check out their creations. You can find their blogs on the right in the sidebar or head over to Cardabilities where you can find them all.
