Progress...

I am sure that I have mentioned in past posts about our land.  That we are wanting to move to our 20 acres that we bought a couple years ago.  We are in the process of getting the house out there.  It is such a slow process!  Urg!  signed papers end of July.  Well they got the well in and now have the concrete footers in...Yeah.
I am super excited to be out here!  They claim the house is being moved up at the beginning of this coming week. But, oh, wait they told us that last week.  And before that a few times!  We shall see!  But at least the footers are in!

This will be the view from our front porch or living room or the front of the house.
Just looking over the little pond. It is fun watching the deer walk around there and all the other littel critters.  Not thrilled about the bears but we shall see what happens!

Because we are moving out here we have already enrolled the kids in the Giles County schools.  They are loving it. I am not liking to have to drive the kids back and forth every day...the 130 miles per day is getting old real fast!  But soon like I said we will be out and all will be well.

I haven't done much paper crafting.  With soon moving, I don't want to get stuff out and all over.  I have to start getting stuff packed  up and my paper crafting stuff is something I can pack ahead of time.
I have however done some knitting. I finished a pair of socks back in September that I haven't shared yet.  My friend has asked me to make her, her husband and her son some knitted socks.  So that is what I am working on.  Her are hers....
I really like how they turned out!  Think they are going to fit her perfectly. Now...I am not sure about the socks for her husband...but we shall see!

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Sweet 16

Happy Sweet 16 to my first born.
This girls when I was taking them to school!  Had to have a picture of Carli on her way to school on her birthday.  She is always so thrilled!
Happy birthday to my sweet not-so-baby girl!
Me and my girl!  WE had a fun celebration.  Dinner at Red Robin where at the end they sang happy birthday to Carli.  She was a bit mortified!  But...I think secretly she liked it.  Well maybe!

Saxon

Wow, what a crazy couple of days.  Yesterday I took the kids to see their new schools.  They start school in Giles County this coming Tuesday.  I really like their teachers, special ed teachers, IEP coordinators and all.  Everyone was super nice.  The girls seemed to like everyone and I am super excited that they are going to have a good year!
I worked on some cards the last couple of days.  I decided to make a few cards using the Triple Stamping Technique.
I really like this look and really like how they turned out.  I used two different Stamp sets, one from Stampin Up and the other from Verve.

Last night, Shawn found a dog he wanted that someone was giving away for free.   Today I contacted the person to see if the one of the dogs was still available and he was.  So....we now have a new Dog.  Saxon is now the newest member of the Tucker/Kottwitz family.

He is a chewer so that is the first habit we need to try to break!  But the good thing is HE and Sadie get a long great.
Hopefully tonight will be a good first night home with him.  He will be sleeping in his crate for awhile until we know he isn't chewing anymore and until we know he is completely potty trained!

Fun card making!

Fun, fun week.  I am so excited that I had a friend of mine order 60 handmade cards from me.  She had ordered 25 or so last year.  I hadn't heard from her again this year about cards so wasn't sure she would want more.   But last week I heard from her and she ordered 60 this time.  She is with the PTA and they give them to teachers and staff for their birthday.  I asked her if they liked them last year and she said they loved them.  That made me feel pretty good!
This is one of the cards I made.  Pulled out  stamp set Embrace Life from CTMH. I just did random stamping with the different butterflies, in purple, green and Brown!   I am glad I am staring to do some more paper crafting. I got out of doing it for a while and really enjoyed working on them.  Madison, my little one enjoyed working with me too.  Here she is putting cards with envelopes.
She was very focused on making sure each card had the right color envelope (either cream or white).  She was a super big help.  It is fun having her help me and show interested in a few things I like to do!

Lastly just a picture to share some veggies my hubby grew in his garden.
He grew the zuchini and the squash.  Our neighbor out in Giles county gave us the tomatoes.   We had a few zucchini and squash that were actually bigger that we ate last week!  Pretty awesome for our first time in the garden.  Can't wait until we are living out at our land by the end of October.  I so want to try canning next!

Well thanks so much for stopping by and hope you are all having a great week!

Fun Filled Day!

This week has been pretty relaxing.  I have been spending time with the kids since they did not have to start school this week.  Of course they would rather play on their electronics but...when mama says to do...they have to do.  You know...that QT time they never want to have!

We have also been hatching some guinea-keets and chickens.   Yes...in our house.  Right now they are so small they have to be kept under some light to keep them warm. Sadie, our dog loves them.  Well what I think she wants to do eat them...but we won't let her.  But let me tell you...they tweet all day...and all day all she wants to do is bark at them.  She gets so excited...running around the house, barking.  She literally shakes she is so excited!

Yes....this is Sadie right before she tried to chomp down on this cute little chick.  Thankfully my hubby knew what she wanted and kept he chick far enough away from Sadie. She could see the chick but couldn't reach her!

I also have been knitting and card making this week.  A friend of mine who is on the PTA at school ordered 50 or so birthday cards from me.  The PTA gives cards to each teacher on their birthday.  Last year she got some cards from me as well, but never really said if they liked them or what.  Well, they must have because this week she asked for them again and this time wanted double what they ordered before!  Yeah!  I am just glad they like them.   So below you can see my work space this week.  I am not a neat crafter that is for sure.  Though I never, ever claimed to be!

In the next few weeks I will have some pictures to share of the cards I have created!

I didn't get much done one them today.  Today, I went to a craft group up at my friend Kristin's in Roanoke and hung out with some craft friends.  All of them were paper crafting however...I was not.  I am not the best pre-planner when it comes to that kind of stuff so instead I went for a few hours and took my knitting!  I took the kids with me and we went over for a while.  I got my friends socks started and like I said got to hang out with some great ladies.  It really was a great day!

To top it off...when we got home...hubby was home and took us to dinner.  We voted on the Pizza Inn and had a nice family dinner!  Super great day!

Fun Summer!

Wow what a crazy summer!  We have traveled, signed papers for our loan for the house, bought and bought a car.  Seriously!  CRAZY!

The kids got out of school late this year.  They didn't get out until June 21.  That day we went straight up to Pennsylvania to see our family.  We made and over night stop in Lewisberry (just outside of Harrisburg) to see friends.  We always have such a great time visiting the Stambaugh's.  The kids love playing with Anna who is close to their age.  They get to play and I get to visit with Bridget and Kurt! It really is the most relaxing time!   we then headed to Coudersport to see our family.  Got to see mom & Dad, my sister, my bother and Shawn's family!  We spent 2 weeks up in Coudy.  It was only suppose to be one week, then about 4 days after we got there Shawn surprised us by coming up for a few days!  After he left, we stayed another week!  Fun family times.
Aunt Amber with her nieces, Madison & Carli.
 My beauties, Madison & Carli
My Brother, Uncle Dickie and Carli

Mimom and her granddaughter

Me, My Sister (Aunt Amber) and Carli

After getting back the kids and I spend a couple weeks relaxing, going to the pool with our friends,  and going to $1 movies once a week.  Then on July 30th my hubby and I did something we weren't sure we would ever be doing again. We signed papers for our construction loan to get our 4 bedroom manufactured home out at our land!   We were told it would take 60 days after signing to be out there...so we shall see.  With the move to our new house/land the kids will be switching schools.  They will now be going to Giles County.  they are super excited that they now don't start school until the Monday after Labor Day.  If they were still going to be going to Montgomery they would have started tomorrow!  Yep...they are super super happy!  Too funny!

The kids and I then headed back to Couderport for another visit!  Again stopping in Harrisburg on the way up and back!  Again it was another fun visit with Mimon and Poppy (my mom and dad) and everyone else!

Then this past weekend we broke down and bought my new Vehicle.  Had to get it. Our new house is on the side of a hill and there is no way I will be getting  up the driveway without the AWD, at least until we get the driveway re-directed.  So here is my new Ride!    My new Kia Sportage and I LOVE IT! I didn't want a red one to begin with!  I now right..!  But...that is what they came out with when I told them what I was looking for.  Now, understand I test drove EVERYTHING!  Every SUV I could find. My hubby said he wanted me to be happy.  The Kia Sportage was my #2. My first choice was a bit out of our price range!   However...I DO love this Sportage!

I haven't been scrapbooking or knitting to much lately.  I have an order for some handmade cards so I will be working on those this week. who knows maybe, just maybe I will have a few to share over the next week. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Party Time

Yesterday the kids and I had a fun filled day in Roanoke.  We went to Trapper and Kaylee's birthday party that was at he Mill Mountain Zoo.  I didn't even know that there was a zoo in Roanoke.  We drove over and spent a few hours walking around the zoo and of course pizza, cake and presents!

On our way to the party....Madison, Kaylee and Alley

Carli always loves having her picture taken....NOT!  But hey...I got one anyway.

Easter 2014

We had a wonderful Easter.

The girls and I spent the morning at Harbor of Hope Church. They are part of a Youth Group there and each took part in the drama.  Below is Carli's part.  She was one set of the white hands. I had never seen anything like this before.  It was pretty amazing!

Harbor of Hope PHC Drama Team 04/20/2014

The girls before going to the church.

Madison after changing from her drama clothes to her dress.

Us girls before heading to church.

The group of youth that Harbor Of Hope.  A great group of kids!

After church we headed out to the land and enjoyed a  cookout as well as the nice weather and the peacefulness of being out their.  We own 20 acres so when we are out there, we don't hear traffic or neighbors or really anything.  Only nature.

Me with my sweetie...and of course or princess, Sadie, who always has to be sitting on one of our laps!  As you can see she loves Shawn!

And the girls and their dad!  As you can see the oldest is just thrilled with getting her picture taken! HEHEH!  Oh, well!

Anyway...it was a fun and relaxing day!
