Happy Birthday

I played along with the October Diva Inspiration and Blog Hop Challenge today which  you can find HERE.  It's been a while since I have posted any paper crafing!

I used Stampin Up Ink in Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron & Pool Party.  The color paper is Rich Razzleberry as well.  The Stamps are from Verve and The Stamps of Life

Happy Birthday

Hello all!  I have finally worked on another card.  This is MojoMonday435.  This is a birthday card for my niece.  Got to play with my new Pattern paper from Stampin up.  It is Bohemian paper pack.  I used the Stamp set HappyBDay2You from The Stamps of Life for the cupcake and the sentiment was from Be Happy Sentiments from Amy R. Stamps.

These are the socks I hand knit for my niece.  My mother in law asked me to make them for her so I did and they are going out in the mail today.
I made a little handmade by tag to put on them.  On the back are the instructions on how to care for the hand-knitted socks so that hopefully they last along time.
Hope she likes them!

Saxon

Wow, what a crazy couple of days.  Yesterday I took the kids to see their new schools.  They start school in Giles County this coming Tuesday.  I really like their teachers, special ed teachers, IEP coordinators and all.  Everyone was super nice.  The girls seemed to like everyone and I am super excited that they are going to have a good year!
I worked on some cards the last couple of days.  I decided to make a few cards using the Triple Stamping Technique.
I really like this look and really like how they turned out.  I used two different Stamp sets, one from Stampin Up and the other from Verve.

Last night, Shawn found a dog he wanted that someone was giving away for free.   Today I contacted the person to see if the one of the dogs was still available and he was.  So....we now have a new Dog.  Saxon is now the newest member of the Tucker/Kottwitz family.

He is a chewer so that is the first habit we need to try to break!  But the good thing is HE and Sadie get a long great.
Hopefully tonight will be a good first night home with him.  He will be sleeping in his crate for awhile until we know he isn't chewing anymore and until we know he is completely potty trained!

Fun card making!

Fun, fun week.  I am so excited that I had a friend of mine order 60 handmade cards from me.  She had ordered 25 or so last year.  I hadn't heard from her again this year about cards so wasn't sure she would want more.   But last week I heard from her and she ordered 60 this time.  She is with the PTA and they give them to teachers and staff for their birthday.  I asked her if they liked them last year and she said they loved them.  That made me feel pretty good!
This is one of the cards I made.  Pulled out  stamp set Embrace Life from CTMH. I just did random stamping with the different butterflies, in purple, green and Brown!   I am glad I am staring to do some more paper crafting. I got out of doing it for a while and really enjoyed working on them.  Madison, my little one enjoyed working with me too.  Here she is putting cards with envelopes.
She was very focused on making sure each card had the right color envelope (either cream or white).  She was a super big help.  It is fun having her help me and show interested in a few things I like to do!

Lastly just a picture to share some veggies my hubby grew in his garden.
He grew the zuchini and the squash.  Our neighbor out in Giles county gave us the tomatoes.   We had a few zucchini and squash that were actually bigger that we ate last week!  Pretty awesome for our first time in the garden.  Can't wait until we are living out at our land by the end of October.  I so want to try canning next!

Well thanks so much for stopping by and hope you are all having a great week!

Triple Time Stamping

I have seen this technique quite a bit on some other blogs.  I finally decided to try it myself. I actually got the tutorial from Dawn's Blog HERE. I had a lot of fun doing these cards.  It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.  Of course with the help of the tutorial for the sizes it went pretty quickly!  I used the fun set from Stampin' up...Lacy&Lovely.

Birthday Wishes!

Hi Stamper friends!
Happy rainy weekend....well Rainy here in Southwest Virginia!
This week I decided to try Triple Time Stamping.  I saw a card I really liked here HERE.  So much fun doing these.  I really enjoy this technique!

I used Lacy & Lovely Stamp set #127784.
The colors I used are Perfect Plum, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi & Whisper White.   The ribbon I had was just from my stash of left overs!

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Wishes

Hello again!   I have been making a few cards and working on my scapbooking.  So I have another card to share.  I decided to use the sketch from Deconstructing Jen.  this week's sketch is #91.

I used Crumb Cake and Rich Razzleberry Cardstock and Floridal District paper pack.  The Stamp image is from Verve.  I love the Rich Razzleberry color and am trying to find more ways to use it.  Such a pretty vibrant color.  Super cute color.

Well thanks for stopping by!

Another Birthday

Hi! Hope everyone is having a great week. We are on our 3rd cancellation day in just a couple weeks.  No school for the kids again today.  Thankfully not snow again, but a lot of rain and flooding.  The kids have rather enjoyed it.  I am sure they will not be thrilled when they have to make the day up at the end of the year.  Oh well.

Okay, now on to my card.  I am running low on some birthday cards so I decided to start getting caught up that is why most of my cards have been Happy Birthday lately.

Today's card is for this weeks sketch at Cardabilities.  This weeks sketch is #68 and so cute.   My card base is my favorite go to Crumb cake.  I also used soft suede.  The pattern paper is from the Print Poetry design series stack.  I used my SU labels collection framelits to cut out the the center image and the butterfly punch for the butterflies. The sentiment is from the set Petite Pairs.
Thanks for stopping by and make sure to go over and join this weeks sketch at Cardabilities which you can find here,

Happy Birthday!

Good morning all!  Hope you are all having a great day!

I am back today with another sketch from Cardabilities.  This week is sketch # 67.   I had fun playing with this sketch. I used the 2011-2013 in colors Indigo and Limeaid as well as Crumb Cake and white Card Stock.   The stamp set I used is Moving Forward I so love this stamp set but this is the first time I inked it up!  I also love that fact that every time someone purchases this stamp set a donation is made to Make-a-Wish foundation.  That is just awesome. Anyway...I embossed the white cardstock with Chevron Embossing Folder.  The ribbon I found in my stash of ribbon.  Not really sure where I got it.   The image I decided to change from a Circle to this label shape.  I used the Framelits Window Frames Collection ...and the matching overlay that I can use to punch the holes.  Love that little tool.

Well thanks for stopping by and make sure you head over to Cardabilities to play along with the sketch!

Best Birthday Wishes

Hi fellow crafters.  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  We had a nice quiet one at home. It was great!  With all the traveling we did at Thanksgiving then the next week me traveling to Florida it is nice just to relax and be at home.

Anyway...I did get a few cards done this week.  I am glad that I am done with Christmas cards...even though I was bad and didn't actually mail out Christmas cards this year.  Anyway, now I can get caught up on my Birthday and Thank you Cards.  So here is one that I made using Regal Collections DSPRegal  Collection Cardstock, and Crumb Cake Cardstock.  The stamped image is from Serene Silhouettes Stamp set.   For the cutout image I used Label Collection Framelits

Hopefully I will have a few more cards to share this week so please stop back!

Birthday Wishes

Hi All!  Hope you are doing great.  Today I set up a table at the craft fair.  It was okay.  Not a lot of people but I did sell quite a bit for the number of people that came through.

Hubby has been gone on his hunting trip for almost 10 days.  He is driving back now.  He has a 16 hour drive from Michigan so he won't be getting in until the morning hours.  I can't wait to see him!  The girls are ready for him to get home too.

Since my hubby has been gone I have done some card making.  I made my card today for two challenges.  The first is the challenge sketch for this week over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  The other was for last week's challenge at the dynamic due challenge blog.  However I didn't get my card posted in time to get it on their challenge blog.

Have a great night!

Playing With Color~Happy Birthday

Happy Friday!  I am so ready for the weekend!  Why?  Because I like to sleep in.   I am sooo NOT a morning person!  Hope you are all having a great day.

My card today is based on this sketch by Cardabilities sketch#60.  I am so a sketch junkie. I just need sketches to get my mojo juices flowing.  Along with the sketch challenge I played along with the Playing with Colors Challenge my upline does on her blog.  The colors this week are Pool Party, Limeade, Chocolate Chip and a Neutral.  I am a day late on posting the playing with colors challenge...sorry about that.  Got my card done but then never got a picture of it.  Anyway...head over to Chat's blog and Jean's blog to see what their creations!

Oh, and I just have to say that my new Vagabond is AWESOME!  Thank you to my wonderful hubby for getting it for me.  I was able to make a few layouts and cards and cutting out my die cuts was so easy and my arm doesn't hurt afterwards.  YEAH!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday

Hi. Hope you are all having a great week. All is well here.   Sat down and did some scrapping.  Got my smaller sewing machine working and have been playing with that.  It is still definitely a learning process.  I broke my big sewing machine in this process.  Yep...sure did!  So before I go out and spend money on another I really just need to perfect actually being able to use one.  With that being said I will stick with my smaller one until I get the hang of it.  Will I get the hang of it?  That is the million dollar question. Just when I think I have it down...something bad happens.  I either jam the machine, or go all crooked with my "straight" lines...so I end up not having straight lines.  But all I can say is PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE.  Oh, and FYI, I don't sew on anything else.  I don't sew clothes, or make other projects.  I just don't know how.  Guess I should have paid better attention in Highschool Home Ec class.

Now on to my card.  I made this card base on this weeks sketch from Karen over at The Sweetest Thing.  I love her sketches and am always inspired by all the great examples from the design team.   If you haven't checked out her sketches you really should.  I think she posts a new one every 2 weeks on Sunday.  She is super duper talented and I get a lot of inspiration from her.  Anyway...if you want to play along with this sketch head over to her blog and play along.
My card base is Crumb Cake cardstock.  Yes...this is my go too color.  I love Crumb Cake.  I buy this A LOT! All the pattern paper is from Twitterpated DSP.  LOVE...LOVE...LOVE this paper pack as well.  So fun.  As you can see I did stitching around the edge.  YES, I started out trying to make it straight then after about 2 seconds realized it was not going to be.  Oh, well.  Like I said still working with it and playing and trying to perfect my machine stitching.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Birthday

I have another card to share today.  I am hoping to get some scrapbooking done this week too but the last few days I have just been working on cards.

Anyway.  The card I made today used two challenges.  Sketch Saturday and Dynamic Duos.    Both challenges are new to me so this is the first time I have participated in either one.  You can find this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge here.  This was week #221 and was a fun challenge to work with.  This weeks challenge at Dynamic Duos can be found here.

It really was a lot of fun playing along with both challenges.  My mojo was on hiatus or vacation today so having a couple challenges to work with helped my crafting process along a bit. Plus I just really really like playing along with challenges.  Either way...it works.

Now onto a more non-crafty note...the kids go back to school tomorrow.  I have really enjoyed my summer with them.   I have always worked outside the home...but since we moved to Virginia this past October my husband has made it possible for me to stay home with the kids. And thanks to my employer in FL, I am able to work for them part-time, remotely, from home.

It was really fun being home with them going on little outings, going to visit family and just hanging out.  But I think these last couple of weeks they have been getting restless and well now I am ready to get back the regular routine, though I will miss sleeping in.  The only think I want to complain about...is having to get up at 6:30 a.m to get Carli to school. Yes I know for most that is not early, that people are at work already and that most people consider that normal but not me.  Even when I worked full-time I didn't have to get up until 7:20 a.m.  And yes...I am one of those people that sleep in until the very last minute.   I am not a morning person.  Oh, well...I know we all have to do it.  Just thought I would share how much I just don't care for early early morning!  He he he he!

Hope everyone has a great week!

Birthday Wishes

Hope you all had a fabulous day!  We have had a good couple of days here. This is our last week of summer vacation.  Hard to believe school starts next Tuesday.  The summer definitely went by fast.  It was really fun not having to work and spending the summer with the girls.  We did lots of things. Each week we did
something different...bowling, swimming, movies, twice we even took a week and headed up to Pennsylvania to see family.  Yesterday I took the kids to the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid.  We all enjoyed it.  It was a fun day out and bonus...movie theater pop corn.  Pretty sad that it was only 2 of 14 movies at the theater we could see.  Two movies.  Why?  Because 12 out of the 14 movies were rate R.  We don't go to the movies a lot so I guess I just didn't realize how many are out there that are not age appropriate for young kids.

Okay now on to me time.  I decided that after a fun filled week of movies, playing pop out connect four, watching disney channel and all that fun stuff it was me time to sit down at my craft table and make some cards.  I realize the other day that I am out of birthday cards that I keep on hand.  I try to keep a few around for last minute and when I went to get one, yep you guessed it they were gone.  So today's card is a birthday card.  My card today is using this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.  I found their sketch blog a few weeks ago and really like the sketches I have seen so I try to play along every so often.  I have played along a few times and well, realized that their new sketch came out today so I might as well play along.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
